About Me
Tamara Lawrence is an author, actress, model, and content creator based in Oakland, California. A graduate of Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Communications, she is passionate about storytelling, family wellness, and creating meaningful connections through her work.

Tamara's creative journey began in high school when she participated in the Summer Shakespeare Conservatory and the Guerilla Performance Group at EastSide Arts Alliance. During that time, she co-authored and performed in two original plays, From Wrong to Right and Once Upon a Town, and studied under acclaimed author and activist Amiri Baraka.

After graduating from Loyola Marymount University, Tamara returned to the Bay Area to help care for her grandmother during the final stages of her life. That experience profoundly shaped her perspective and later inspired her debut children's book, Caring for Grandma, which helps young readers better understand aging, caregiving, grief, and the importance of family connections.

In addition to her work as an author, Tamara has appeared in national campaigns for Wells Fargo, LinkedIn, and Benefit Cosmetics. She has been featured in multiple print and digital publications and has appeared in independent films, commercials, and music videos.

Through her work, Tamara hopes to inspire empathy, strengthen communities, and encourage meaningful conversations across generations. She is passionate about using storytelling to educate, uplift, and bring people together.
